Adult Day Centre Opportunities

Care Wings provides day care opportunities for adults in Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire. Our service aims to support individuals who have been diagnosed with conditions such as autism and learning disabilities. Our support and care workers have experience helping with personal care, including medication and feeding. We offer both centre-based daycare and external activities in the community.

Our day care for adults service in the community offers a refreshing alternative to traditional day centre activities if you prefer more independence and choice. Our adult day care opportunities outings allow individuals to engage in stimulating activities and make meaningful connections with others. We are firm advocates for community engagement, where we utilise existing opportunities available in the community so individuals can have a more inclusive experience that is accessible to all members of the community. We believe this helps with making connections and enriches lives through shared experiences within local communities.

Our day centre service helps individuals access other services and resources within the local community. Whether visiting a museum, attending a local event, or exploring nature trails, these day outings provide an opportunity for individuals to explore and enjoy what their community has to offer.

Our adult day opportunities outings often involve escorting participants to events, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the experience. This support allows individuals who may require additional assistance or have mobility issues to continue fully participating in community activities. We believe by utilising activities already available in the community; our social care day-outs provide a cost-effective solution for individuals.

We have an option for individuals who prefer a day centre setting. As already highlighted above our model of work is not a traditional day centre which focuses on multitude of people in one place. We believe in being small in order to fully cater for individual needs.

We have sensory and tactile resources, allowing us to meet the needs of individuals who prefer quiet areas or small groups. Our day centre also has a dedicated room fully equipped with a profile bed, stand aid, and hoist. A hot meal will be provided along with all support to meet human rights. Our care will be based on a person-centred approach that aims to complement any other support being provided to the individual.
